Über Chill Gyaru
A gyaru lives in the corner of your desktop
Her name is Byrd. No window frame, no background — she just sits on top of
whatever you were already doing. She won't interrupt you. You never have to
minimize her. Glance over mid-task and she's doing something too.She watches what you're doing, and does the same
Byrd looks at your foreground window.
Open an app you've marked as "focus" and she'll focus beside you, earning
focus points. Slack off and she'll slack off too. She never nags.
What she reads — stated up front
- The process name and window title of your foreground window
- Window titles are only used to judge what you're doing, and are never saved
- Only application names are stored, and you can clear or change them in Settings
- Everything stays on this PC. Nothing is transmitted anywhere
- Nothing is read while the game is closed
Neglect her and things go wrong
Stress, fatigue and hunger build up. A bad condition locks her out of work
and cuts her pay. Left alone, she acts on her own — collapsing where she
stands when exhaustion peaks, or walking to a soup kitchen when she's broke
and starving. There are no dead ends, but there is a cost.
Feed her. Let her sleep. Send her outside once in a while. The goal is keeping the apartment
Byrd owes a lease deposit. She works day shifts at the "Kkyu Punch"
distribution center and puts the money aside.
Inbound, outbound, overnight loading. Earn certifications and desk jobs open
up, paying two or three times as much. Learning to work smarter is the
progression.Goals, one at a time
- Eight tracks — work, meals, sleep, going out, shopping, savings, growth, condition
- Four upgrades bought with focus points
- Three certifications, and the better jobs they unlock
- Multiple endings, decided by how she got through it
Time passes while you're away
Start a meal and quit the game — the meal keeps going. Come back and it's
already reflected. This game doesn't hold you hostage. And
Byrd doesn't talk about herself much. Work through her goals and she lets
a line slip now and then.
Get to the end and you'll understand why this apartment matters.
