Burial for a Butterfly - a Singing World

"Burial for a Butterfly" is the first tiny game in the "Singing Worlds" series. Inspired by lived experience across time and place, the series introduces a pluriverse of slice of life stories told from many different cultural perspectives to explore our varied experiences of what it means to be alive during times of change and crisis. Every tiny game let's you explore a tiny planet - a singing world of memory, depicting a slice of life story of a specific time and place. "Burial for a Butterfly" is a story of my own personal experience seeking refuge in the woods, befriending trees, reading about our world in crisis, talking with mysterious doomer owls, burying a butterfly and grieving the dying of species and forests. It is a calm, vulnerable yet colorful game series that hopes to make space for the many voices guiding us into new ways of being with one another. I am a solo developer with a big curiosity for anthropology, big picture history and deep ecology and creating this game is my way of making sense of who we are together and the world we are living in today.
