The Lower Worlds I: Valenfeld

Don't build a character. Build a party. Valenfeld is a co-op dungeon-raiding action RPG with old roots: a first-person world in the style of the classic Scrolls games, dungeon pulls and trinity roles like an MMO, and party authorship like a CRPG. You don't make one character. You make the whole party, every member playable, with AI you configure running the ones you aren't steering. Or drop the AI and raid with friends online. Either way, this is a game where you go together. - Six classes, any combination. Warrior, Rogue, Wizard, Cleric, Druid, Necromancer. Pick a permanent main class and subclass, and the pair is your own custom class. - A real party. Tank, heal, deal damage. Build every member yourself, play any of them, and set how the AI fights the rest. Co-op is built and tuned around a party of four. - Dungeons that don't repeat. Thirty dungeons across three zones. Every layout regenerates when you walk in, and every run ends at a named boss. - A world to explore. Three open zones, walkable end to end, with thirty lost artifacts hidden across them. Join a guild, take quests, bring the artifacts home. Your own custom class Your main class sets your armor tier and levels with your character. Your subclass runs at half your level and adds its abilities and weapons to your kit. A Warrior/Cleric and a Cleric/Warrior are different characters, and that's before talents. Abilities come automatically from class levels. Points buy talents, spent across three paths per class: Arms, Bulwark, and Warcry for the Warrior. Fire, Ice, and Conjuration for the Wizard. Summoning, Blood, and Blight for the Necromancer. Every class has its own three. Between class pairs, talent paths, and affix rolls on gear, there is a lot to theorycraft, and rerolling a new party member is half the fun. Go together Online co-op keeps loot the old way: drops hit the floor and the first player to grab one keeps it. No instanced loot, no personal hand-outs. Enemy health and XP scale with party size while enemy damage stays flat, so a bigger group means bigger pulls, not cheaper deaths. Bring people you trust. No group tonight? Your own roster fills the slots. Every party member is a full character you created, with combat behavior you tune per member. Tank, healer, damage: the trinity works whether the other three are friends or yours. Dungeons Fight down, kill the boss, get out with the loot. Over 100 enemy types hold the floors. Enemy casts channel in the open and can be interrupted, stuns create openings, and bosses telegraph their area attacks, summon adds, and change behavior at health thresholds. Layouts regenerate on every entry, so the run is never the same twice and there is always a reason to go back down. Loot Gear runs Common to Legendary. Uncommon, Rare, and Epic items roll affixes, so two drops of the same base item are rarely equal. Over 300 spells across the class kits. Smithing, alchemy, and enchanting between runs. Explore The world is three open zones on a fixed ladder: The Vale (levels 1 to 10), The Sered Spur (11 to 20), The Mirrenmere (21 to 30), ten dungeons each, level cap 30. Nothing scales to you. The zone that killed your party at 8 is a farming route at 15, and that's the point. Thirty artifacts are hidden across the world, each found once per character. The Far Lantern Society, a guild of explorers, ruin-readers, and camp-keepers, takes them in for study and pays you for the journey. Towns run on day and night, merchants rotate stock and haggle, and crime only sticks if someone saw it. Three political factions and three joinable guilds (Fighters, Mages, Thieves) shape the climb.
