The Ardron Universe

For the skimmers? Here's the TL;DR: - 8 Games. - One Universe. - One Purchase. Bunch of different genres. Same universe. You'll make some choices while playing one game. The choices you make in one game can unlock another game, or unlock new content in it. (Don't want to play a genre you don't like just to unlock something? There is a skip. 👍) Some games are story heavy. Some are systems heavy. Some are just… weird. You don’t have to like all of them. You just have to find the one that clicks. Regardless you get all of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Go experiment. If you're into reading a lot? Keep scrolling, and thank you. I know I’m supposed to pitch the game here. I’m not doing that yet. Consider this your warning. I’m not super “professional.” At least not in the suit-and-tie sense. If you don’t like reading, you’re gonna have a bad time. If you want AAA “standards” and corporate "polish"? The gutter is over there. Otherwise? Welcome to the trash pile :D But let me be clear about one thing... The presentation is chaotic on purpose. I'll type this like I'm speaking to a friend. Not someone I'm trying to weasel 10$ out of. The systems are not chaotic. I don't half build things. I don’t ship broken foundations. Or at least, I try not to. And I won’t let them stay broken. Every mechanic, every interaction, every progression system is thought through down to the wire. I might write like a gremlin, but I build like an engineer. If you’re here for personality? You’ll get it. If you’re here for depth? You’ll get that too. anyways. Here is a super ... SUPER summarized lore blerb. First and foremost, Ardron is a universe. In any of these games, you’ll be playing in that universe (duh). The quickest way I can explain the lore goes like this: --- At first, there was nothing... and then there was something. (Real original, huh?) The specifics are muddy. Six individuals drifted across the nothing(the void) until they encountered a figure of unimaginable power. This figure, (bored, I guess,) decided to give each of them a color, each representing a piece of the six types of Mana it possessed. In doing so, the figure ceased to exist as a separate being, living on through the six instead. The six individuals became gods, not as powerful as the figure, but still, gods. With this power, they created their own universes, all interconnected, and started crafting creatures and places in their universes. One thing led to another. (God, that's lazy writing) A conflict followed, one that lasted 10,000 years. In the end, all that remained were ashes… of mana.. OR ARCANUM AS SOME MIGHT SA- yeah you see where that's going. Is The Ardron Universe? And Why Should You Care? Basically, it’s Final Fantasy written by Tolkien right after he found out Cthulhu actually exists. Because Ardron doesn't treat you like a chosen hero, or an idiot. It treats you like a person with respect. There’s no clear good or evil, only choices, and the weight they carry. Every action has context. Every consequence lingers. Every benefit prospers. But be wary, in Ardron, just because you’re the hero in one story, doesn't mean you aren't the villain in another. In these games, you’ll live through stories, or through someone else’s. And sooner or later… you’ll understand. All I'm giving you is a key. It's up to you to walk through the door. They literally only have pages so I can go into more depth per game :) (there MIGHT be spoilers) [Ashes Of Arcanum] - EImon You remember Ashes of Arcanum? Yeah me too. It's a V-TTRPG. [Daemon Protocol] - Icolass A Discord MInigame MMO type deal. Fight creatures. boost other people. good times [Arcane Titans] - Void A PVP Card game that started my game dev journey. [Graces Lament] -Yumalon A 2d narrative side scroller - cause we need more 2d pixel side scrollers on the market. /s [Rimalts Recollection] - Vidulyn ANOTHER 2d side scroller. not narrative. well it has a story, but...well you'll see. [Ashbound] - Grimlowe A classic style top down RPG. Which leads you through the history of Ardron~ [Echos of Aria] - Sostrum A music rhythm game that will make you hate yourself - comes with a story too! [Verdant Thesis] - Elusia A Spell creation game, dealing with the Green magic of Elusia So. That’s the gist of it. Wishlist if you want to keep up.. When you buy this game, it’s yours. Not a subscription. Not a license you’re renting. You paid for it, you keep it. Period. There’s no DRM here. You can copy it, back it up, install it offline, it’ll still run. Steam is optional. It’s just a convenience layer. You’ll lose things like achievements, cloud saves, and Steam servers, but everything else still works, including P2P multiplayer. Long as you know how to port forward, you don't need Steam at all. The only thing you can’t do is claim you made it. Everything else? mod it, play it, don't play it and keep it as one of those 500 games you'll "get to eventually"? Sure, go wild. Want to turn off Steam’s DRM entirely?
