Gather raw materials from the world around you, then transform them using the techniques of the time – grind grain into flour with a quern-stone, knap flint into an axe head, or smelt and forge an iron sword blade. Survival in the harsh medieval world requires foresight and preparation. You can't simply take nature's bounty for granted – the ability to plan ahead and stockpile crucial resources will make the difference between life and death. Ensure you have everything you need before hard times come. The choice is yours whether to remain a nomadic survivor constantly seeking temporary havens, or to become a settler who bends the land to your long-term vision.
