On Lexing, you can develop and reshape this alien world through Planetary Control Modules. As they take effect, familiar places soon begin to look completely different. Black mist rolls in. Mysterious alien creatures pass through once-quiet skies, while enormous thorny vines burst from the ground, stretch across rivers and reach farther into the distance... As the old world begins to change, you will shape a new home with your own hands—and witness wonders emerge. When wonders emerge, the real adventure begins. Each one brings something new to discover—new resources, new environments, and new ways to interact with the world. Gather dew from giant dandelions and brew drinks using techniques from Earth. As towering waves rise across the ocean, venture into uncharted waters and uncover the treasures hidden within. Deep in the desert, swirling sands reveal a wormhole. Travel through it to reach a satellite base, where you’ll install an engine on a dormant comet. More mysteries still await beyond the horizon. Fragments of Civilization scattered across Lexing preserve the knowledge and technologies once possessed by humanity. By collecting, activating, and piecing them together, you can gradually awaken these dormant technologies and put them to use once again in this strange world. From basic infrastructure and energy systems to survival tools and planetary engineering, forgotten technologies are recovered piece by piece, slowly restoring the foundations of civilization. Perhaps, in time, all of this may give rise to something far greater—technologies of a super-advanced civilization, capable of harnessing energy at will. And as memories of Earth linger, the path ahead seems to grow clearer. Build a home of your own in the vast wilderness of an alien world. Cultivate crops and gather resources found across Lexing. Place buildings and decorations however you like to create a space that feels truly yours. Run workshops, turn gathered resources into useful items, and watch your home gradually fall into its own rhythm, all with ease. Start with the wilds, and slowly turn this place into your home. Meteors streak across the deep blue sky, leaving a brief blaze of light between the mountains. Nearby, enormous alien plants glow faintly in the dark. Step closer and watch as their leaves unfurl and their vines slowly grow, then give these never-before-seen forms of life names in your journal. Night settles in. Back at camp, the fire dances in the wind, spilling warm light over the grass and stone around you. Sleep. At least for tonight, danger has yet to arrive. Lexing is alive with forms of life found nowhere else. Strange plants take root in deserts, forests, and along the water’s edge, each shaped by the environment around it. Some may remind you of life on Earth, while others follow entirely different rules, with silicon woven into their very makeup... Observe, reach out, and gather what you find. Through each touch with nature, you’ll gradually uncover how life works on this unfamiliar planet. Different visual styles open up endless ways to capture an alien world. A single press of the shutter might capture the flickering warmth of an ancient cave mural, or transform familiar landscapes into paintings made with mineral pigments and egg white, or even recreate the classic visual tones of humanity’s Moon landings. Celestial events such as solar and lunar eclipses also bring breathtaking sights to the skies of Lexing.
