Every sensation, thought and memory competes for space: hunger, duty, a humming generator, the urge to fix something that might not want to be fixed. You decide what to hold onto — and what to push deeper inside you. You are a council officer. You have spent your life fortifying men and women of the fleet against the mind corrupting presence of an ever-encroaching cosmic threat. You now find yourself alone on a long-lost battleship. Alone but for the fractured voices that live inside you. They embody your skill and knowledge as unreliable companions that grow stronger — and stranger — the more you listen to them. Focus on the mission and unravel the mystery of the once proud battleship with every system you fix. Or get lost in the weeds and find your own purpose. Take stimulants, don’t look at the hull breach and color-coordinate your tools to make it through another cycle. - Fix a battleship - Prioritise which systems to restore. Each machine you fix unlocks new tools and comforts while getting you closer to unraveling the ship’s secrets. - Counterbalance your voices - each part of your fractured identity pulls your thoughts towards its own agenda. Every dialogue is an opportunity to stay in control by playing them against each other - instigate drama with innocent questions, play dumb and fail on purpose for political reasons. - Work. Rest. Repeat. - There is only so much you can get done before your mind starts to give up from the strain. Set up home in the collapsing spaceship to rest between cycles.
