Gokutoshi (獄闘士)

Gokutoshi is a 2D side-scrolling hack-and-slash action game focused on intense battles against powerful enemies. Players can equip up to three weapons at once and switch between them instantly to adapt to any situation. Fast-paced combat combines movement, jumping, and dashing with melee attacks, ranged attacks, and abilities. In addition to guarding enemy attacks, players can perform a precise “Just Guard (Parry)” by blocking at the exact right moment. A successful parry can stun enemies, reflect projectiles, and completely turn the tide of battle. Each stage features a wide variety of enemies, while boss stages offer even more challenging encounters. The game also includes time attack elements, encouraging players to refine their routes, optimize their equipment, and push for faster clear times. Equipment is divided into six slots: Right Hand, Left Hand, Head, Body, Arms, and Legs. Items come in four rarity tiers: Normal, Rare, Epic, and Legend. Equipment can also grant a wide range of special effects, such as: - Launching fireballs when attacking - Increasing damage as HP gets lower - Becoming invincible while jumping By combining these effects, players can create their own unique combat style and build. Carefully choosing randomly dropped equipment, refining builds, and constantly improving clear records are at the core of the experience.
