Shape the battlefield into a labyrinth that forces enemies to take the long way around... right through the kill zone. Every tower placement, choke point, and corner matters. Kingdom Defense Mode Build, command, and defend the Kingdom of Caeredale in Kingdom Defense, a new RTS-inspired tower defense mode. Kingdom Defense expands the core maze-building gameplay with kingdom management, resource gathering, production chains, trainable units, commander leveling, spellcasting, online co-op bonuses, and castle defense. Build your settlement during quieter moments, prepare your defenses, then survive the horde when the battle begins. Gather logs, stone, ore, and gold. Refine materials at production buildings like the Sawmill, Mason Workshop, and Smelter. Upgrade your kingdom through multiple tiers, rebuild and improve castle walls, train soldiers at the Barracks, upgrade units at the Blacksmith, unlock blessings at the Church, learn spells at the Wizard Spire, and purchase useful items from the Merchant House. Your Commander now grows stronger over time, gaining experience from combat and unlocking new spells as they level up. Trainable units can be commanded in battle, upgraded, and assigned different stances or formations to help control how they fight. Kingdom Defense can be played solo, but the horde is better faced with friends. Team up in online co-op to defend Caeredale together, coordinate building and combat roles, and earn bonus experience and gold while surviving the waves. Kingdom Defense blends real-time strategy, base building, resource management, online co-op, and maze-based tower defense into one larger survival mode. Defend the castle, manage your economy, build the kingdom, and hold back the dark fantasy horde. Tower Upgrades + Pick-a-Path Evolutions Your towers get stronger, faster, and can shoot further with upgrades! Each run, upgrade your favorite towers and choose between two distinct upgrade paths to match your build: - Wizard Tower: unleash explosive cluster bombs, or focus into a devastating laser beam! - Lightning Tower: jump damage with chain lightning and shred groups or blast the skies! - Ice Tower: freeze the earth with powerful slows… or launch a giant snowball to smash the front line! - Arrow Tower: Triple shot or poison your enemies! - Lookout Tower: Deal double damage or splash damage on enemies in a large group! And it’s not just damage dealers... build Support Towers to supercharge your defense: - Archer Camp: boost the range of nearby towers - Barracks: increase the damage of nearby towers Artifacts & Merchant (Make Every Run Different) Each run is shaped by what you buy, what you find, and how you stack effects with your team. Every 50 waves, visit the Merchant where you can purchase up to 3 of the 20+ items that can alter the run from economy and utility boosts to power spikes that change how your maze plays. On top of that, your hero can collect 25+ player artifacts with game-changing effects. Unlock an artifact chest every 20 waves to Mix, match, and stack synergies (especially in co-op) to create wild builds that push towers, enemies, and the rules of the run in your favor. - 20+ Merchant items to customize your strategy mid-run - 25+ player artifacts with unique, run-defining effects - Stack effects in co-op for absurd synergy and team builds - Every run plays differently thanks to randomized pick-3 options for Merchant and Artifacts to build variety - Level-Up to get Artifact Keys to unlock new artifacts and reveal new items for purchase at the Merchant!
