BARKO

A good boy never gives up. Barko is a story-rich 2D adventure about a very good dog with a very questionable sense of direction. Barko's story begins in a dog shelter. He doesn't know where he's going, what he'll find out there, or why the world seems to be getting progressively weirder. He only knows one thing: Somewhere out there, a human needs him. And apparently that's enough of a plan. Leave the shelter behind and venture into a bizarre world filled with strange creatures, ridiculous situations, unexpected friendships, puzzles, secrets, and people who probably shouldn't be trusted with basic responsibilities. Along the way, Barko will have to explore unusual places, help questionable individuals, survive increasingly unreasonable bullet-hell encounters, and somehow keep moving toward the human waiting for him. Why does this human need him? Barko doesn't know. He's a dog. He's doing his best. - Explore a strange, colorful world full of secrets and terrible ideas. - Meet memorable characters ranging from surprisingly helpful to deeply concerning. - Dodge fast-paced bullet-hell attacks in unique battles and boss fights. - Solve puzzles and discover new mechanics as you travel through increasingly bizarre locations. - Experience a story that doesn't take itself too seriously... until it does. - Find the human who needs Barko most. There is a human out there who needs saving. Unfortunately for everyone involved, we're sending a dog. BARKO's journey doesn't necessarily end at release. If the game finds its audience, I'd love to keep expanding its world with new characters, areas, adventures and other free content over time.
